Every year watch brands invest an average of 10 to 20% of their revenue in marketing, a third of which is dedicated to sponsorship. The latter is considered the marketing tool with the best return on investment. A movie star like Brad Pitt or a tennis champion like Roger Federer can easily set you back 1 million a year.
After many days of blood, sweat, tears and laughter – and of course checking the copyright availability – in our previous chapter we were finally able to present to you a brand name which both appeals to us tremendously and received excellent feedback from you: CODE41. Today we have the pleasure to introduce you to the logo which will adorn each of our pieces. We still have a few doubts, and as usual we will be delighted to hear your opinions.
Here we are, close to the home stretch! The Goldgena Project fell behind schedule during the last few weeks and some of you got worried and lost patience, sharing your concerns with us. This is the kind of drawback a small company can experience when it decides to share all of its steps and timing, promoting transparency to its supporters and future customers. It’s quite a long way to go, and very few companies got it all right at first attempt I guess. But as I write, here we are close to the home stretch! Real prototypes (not 3D printing) are currently being manufactured, definitive production costs have been calculated for good and crowdfunding is scheduled!
We have approved the design and will now be able to begin the realistic prototype.
In this new chapter we will also discuss movements, with a particular focus on a very special piece. We look forward to hearing your comments 😉
Time flies too fast! We originally planned to approve the collection and to talk about the name and logo in this chapter, but we fell behind schedule because, following the first prototype, we were not happy with the case.
In our next chapter, we’ll be delving deep into the details of the product. We’ll be describing the evolution of our timepiece, and addressing the feedback you’ve given us on its aesthetics, characteristics and origin. We’re close to our goal; this summer will be hot!
