Frequently asked questions
DAY41 watches are guaranteed for 2 years from the date of receipt. In the event of a technical issue, all you need to do is contact us, and we'll organize both the return transport and the necessary repairs.
We've implemented a system in our cart that automatically calculates and pays your country's respective customs duties and VAT, in locations where this is possible. So you won't have anything to pay when you receive your watch.
For some locations, this option does not exist, and we don't calculate these customs duties into your cart, meaning you'll have to pay said duties at the moment of delivery.
CODE41 isn't a brand in the traditional sense of the term; it's more of a community project. The objective is to bring enthusiasts together around a watchmaking project, with the intention of making it a reality. Production is only launched once a minimum number of members support the project. To say thanks to these people, we grant them a special launch price that just allows us to cover our expenses, with no profit. The following series are offered at a "normal" price, bearing in mind that the latter remains extremely lower than the prices of similar pieces.
For a watch to be Swiss Made, at least 60% of its value must come from Switzerland, its movement must be Swiss, and it must be encased in Switzerland. This all means that a Swiss Made watch can boast great quality, while the majority of its components come from abroad. For greater clarity, we're counting on total transparency, and we choose Swiss and foreign components alike for their distinctiveness and high value for money, not to meet the criteria of a misleading label. That's why, even though the majority of our models comfortably meet said criteria, we've decided not to affix the Swiss Made label to any of our watches.
In order to avoid surplus stock, the gray market and waste, we've opted for a system of pre-orders. It seemed more logical to only produce the quantities that have already been sold. Consequently, once or twice a year we launch a new edition for pre-order for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. Delivery typically comes 8 months later. While you wait, we enable you to experience the birth of your watch through a lot of videos and photos.
The DAY41 37 and 40mm watches have a lug width of 21mm.
